Bill Smitrovich
Biography
Bill Smitrovich is an American actor whose first prominent television role came in the 1980s on Crime Story, where he played Detective Sergeant Danny Krychek. He was also the lead guest star in the pilot of Miami Vice. He went on to star in the drama series Life Goes On from 1989 to 1993, and in 1996 he began playing Seattle police lieutenant Bob Bletcher on Millennium. Later television work included Inspector Cramer on A Nero Wolfe Mystery and Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Walsh on The Practice, and he had a recurring role on Without a Trace. In 2010 he played Vice President Raymond Jarvis on The Event. Smitrovich has often portrayed military figures; Independence Day (1996) and Eagle Eye (2008) are among those films. He appeared in the Stephen King adaptation Silver Bullet (1985) and later in the Marvel superhero film Iron Man (2008), as well as The Rum Diary.
