Plot summary
Steven Phillips has just collected a lifetime achievement award when his studio informs him his contract will not be renewed and that he has lost his edge. A junior executive, Josh Martin, calls his latest script dull and gives him until five o'clock to leave the lot. Steven asks advice from Jack Warrick, a far more successful screenwriter, who introduces him to Sarah Little, a modern-day muse able to inspire anyone. Sarah's demands are lavish, from expensive hotel rooms to gifts, and Steven's wife Laura is unhappy about the arrangement. Steven cannot decide whether Sarah is genuine or a charlatan.
