Biography

Taron Egerton is a Welsh actor, singer and producer who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and came to prominence as the spy recruit Eggsy in Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and its sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). He played Edward Brittain in Testament of Youth (2014), the ski jumper Eddie the Eagle (2016), and Elton John in Rocketman (2019), a performance that won him a Golden Globe and brought BAFTA and Grammy nominations. He voiced Johnny in Sing (2016) and Sing 2 (2021) and appeared in Legend (2015), Robin Hood (2018) and Billionaire Boys Club (2018). On television he led the miniseries Black Bird (2022), earning an Emmy nomination, and he starred as Henk Rogers in Tetris (2023) and as a TSA agent in Carry-On (2024), a Netflix thriller.
