Nigel Bennett

Biography

Nigel Bennett is an English actor who built a career in television and film after years on the stage. Born in Wolverhampton, he began acting at eleven and later earned a theater degree from the University of Wales before moving to Canada. He is best known as the vampire patriarch Lucien LaCroix in Forever Knight, a performance that won him the Canadian Gemini Award for his supporting role in a dramatic series. He also played the villain Prince in Lexx and took a recurring role in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. His film work includes Murder at 1600 (1997) and The Skulls (2000). With P.N. Elrod he co-wrote a vampire adventure trilogy for Baen Books, and in 2006 he was nominated for a Gemini for the miniseries At the Hotel. He was artistic director of the Atlantic Theatre Festival in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, in 2006 and 2007.

Bennett co-wrote a vampire adventure novel trilogy with writer P.N. Elrod for Baen Books, called the Lord Richard, Vampire series and described as James Bond with fangs.
