Madeleine Stowe
Biography
Madeleine Stowe is an American actress who began in television before becoming a film lead. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Eagle Rock, she made her screen debut in a 1978 episode of Baretta and later appeared in the miniseries Beulah Land and The Gangster Chronicles. Her breakthrough came with the crime comedy Stakeout (1987). Her film work includes The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Twelve Monkeys (1995), We Were Soldiers (2002), and The General's Daughter (1999), along with Revenge (1990) and Unlawful Entry (1992). Short Cuts (1993) brought her a Best Supporting Actress prize from the National Society of Film Critics, and she received a Saturn Award nomination for Twelve Monkeys. From 2011 to 2015, she played Victoria Grayson on the ABC drama series Revenge and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her lead performance in a television drama. She later starred in the Netflix series Soundtrack and the HBO series It: Welcome to Derry.
