Plot summary
Rachel Munro, married to the banker Rupert Munro, turns down detective Kyle Bodine when he hits on her. She drinks while looking at a private investigator's photographs of Rupert with Adele, an employee. Rachel and Kyle begin an affair. Called to the Munros' on a domestic disturbance complaint, Kyle and detective Lamar Dickey find Rachel badly beaten and Kyle warns Rupert to leave her alone. That night Rachel comes to Kyle's trailer and describes a plan to shoot her husband with the 9mm gun she has bought, using a trip to Miami as cover.
