Plot summary
Patty Addison lost her son Sean, and she now gives her time to finding homes for children who need them. Sean's death has put a strain on her marriage to Mark, an airline pilot. The two take in Emily Adams, a nine-year-old girl whose parents died in a car accident much like the one that took Sean. Dr. Nathan Andrews, meanwhile, is looking for the parents of a boy who died in his emergency room, and Mark is helping a friend of his son's.
