Damian Lewis
Biography
Damian Lewis is an English actor and musician who trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and worked on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company before his first television appearance in a 1995 episode of Agatha Christie's Poirot. Steven Spielberg cast him as Richard Winters in the miniseries Band of Brothers, a part that brought him a Golden Globe nomination. He won a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe for Homeland, playing Nicholas Brody, and was nominated again for his Henry VIII in Wolf Hall. He starred as Bobby Axelrod in Billions and played Steve McQueen in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). He also appeared in the Lawrence Kasdan film Dreamcatcher. In Keane he played a man with a fragile mental state. He released the album Mission Creep in 2023 and became a CBE in 2022.
