Plot summary
Bram leaves school with a job at a local paper and a picture of himself as the next Woodward. A year on, the work is not the journalism he saw in movies: he produces Top 10 lists about hot dogs and about growing up in the nineties. When the paper cuts staff again, Bram comes across material about the city's controversial mayor, Rob Ford, who is in the final turbulent year of his tenure at Toronto city hall. Kamal, the mayor's smooth-talking aide, is chasing the same story, and Bram wants to reach it first, with no clear sense of how a real reporter works.
