Anson Mount

Anson Mount is an American actor, born in White Bluff, who became well known through television roles in the western drama Hell on Wheels, playing Cullen Bohannon and producing from 2014 to 2016, and in Conviction. On stage he appeared in Terrence McNally's Corpus Christi in 1998, a performance the Drama League honored, and later in Three Sisters at Classic Stage Company and in Mankind at Playwrights Horizons. His feature debut came in 2000 with Tully, and his films include Crossroads and Cook County, which he produced and which picked up awards at a number of film festivals. He played Black Bolt in Inhumans and took the part again in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), and he has played Captain Christopher Pike across the Star Trek franchise, beginning with Star Trek: Discovery and continuing with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. He also teaches audition technique at Columbia University.
