Biography

Edwin Hodge is an American actor who was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and raised in New York. He is recognized for playing Dante Bishop in The Purge film series, and he is the only cast member who appears in each of the first three installments. He first played the character, then called the Bloody Stranger, in The Purge (2013), and returned for The Purge: Anarchy (2014) and The Purge: Election Year (2016), where the character was revealed to be Dante Bishop. He was also in the horror movie As Above, So Below (2014). On television, Hodge guest starred on Leverage and One Tree Hill, played firefighter Rick Newhouse on Chicago Fire, and played Clayton Poole in the first season of For All Mankind in 2019. In 2022 he began playing Special Agent Ray Cannon on a CBS series.
