Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Last Night (2010)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Last Night opened the 2010 Rome Film Festival, but its cast could not walk the red carpet because of protests by the Centoautori movement against Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's decision to stop tax exemptions for film productions and reduce funds for cultural events.
- The actors used their own accents, a decision Worthington attributed to New York being a melting pot. He asked Tadjedin to cut a line about Michael and Joanna taking a flight home so that he would not have to explain on screen why he is from Australia.
- Last Night was Knightley's first project after a mental breakdown at the age of 22 and a hiatus early in 2009, and she said her return to acting had helped improve her mental health. Tadjedin persuaded her to join the film while visiting her in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
- Eva Mendes was reluctant to join the project, worried that Laura would lack originality and be too seductive. She agreed after meeting Tadjedin, saying it was great to talk about this woman and not objectify her as the other woman, but give her a real true life.
