At a roadside liquor store, a clerk and a Texas Ranger are killed and the building is destroyed. Jacob Fuller, a widowed pastor whose faith failed after his wife's death, stops at a motel with his son Scott and daughter Kate in a motor home. Did you know?!Facts and trivia about From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Special effects man Robert Kurtzman wrote the first treatment in 1988 simply to find work for his makeup studio KNB EFX Group. In 1990 KNB paid Quentin Tarantino $1,500 for the script, his first paid writing job, in return for a promise to hire KNB on Reservoir Dogs.
- Ireland banned the film on 1 May 1996. Sheamus Smith, head of the Irish Film Censor Board, called its violence "irresponsible and totally gratuitous" and especially ill-timed after the Dunblane and Port Arthur massacres; the ban stood until 2004.
- Robert Rodriguez shot the film with a non-union crew, unusual for a production budgeted above $15 million. The crew and its non-union status were filmed for the documentary Full Tilt Boogie, which came out two years later.
