Plot summary

The gang travels to the Rocky Harbor Inn, where Fred's uncle has invited them to stay. In the lobby hangs a portrait of Fred's ancestor Edward Flay. The groundskeeper, Jeremiah Noseworthy, appears and leaves quickly, mentioning a red ghost. Fred's uncle explains that Edward was alone in the inn when people heard him cry out about a red ghost, and that the inn stood vacant afterward. Since the reopening, guests have reported seeing the ghost. A businessman, Bradley Bass, offers to buy the inn, and Fred's uncle refuses. Henry Metcalf, who wrote a book about the inn, brings Fred's uncle a folder of papers from the Revolutionary War. During a show in the cooking arena, the animatronics go haywire and the Red Ghost drives the spectators away.
