Plot summary
Bonnie and her mother are driving to Bonnie's grandmother's house, with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Mr. Pricklepants, Mr. Potato Head and Trixie riding in the car's trunk. A flat tire in the rain leaves them stuck at the Sleep Well motel, and no tow truck can come until morning. The toys slip out of Bonnie's bag to explore the room while she and her mother sleep, and Mr. Potato Head goes missing. Mr. Pricklepants starts narrating what happens as if it were a horror film. The toys search the motel, but they keep being taken, until only Jessie, who is afraid of the dark, is left. She meets Combat Carl, an action figure separated from his owner, Billy, who tells her to flee to her own owner for safety.
