Plot summary
Roaming a dangerous land with Guy and their pets Belt, Chunky and Douglas, the Croods have still found nowhere to settle. Grug, the family patriarch, worries about the romance between his daughter Eep and Guy. Grug finds a giant wall and brings everyone over it into a land of plenty, where a net catches the family until Phil and Hope Betterman set them free. The Bettermans knew Guy's late parents and live far more advanced lives than their guests. They believe Guy belongs with them, and Phil and Hope begin working to separate him from Eep and the Croods. Eep learns that Dawn, the Bettermans' daughter, has spent her whole life inside those walls, and persuades her to slip out with Chunky.
