Plot summary
Al Hart worked as a talent manager and has now stopped, so his granddaughter Jeanie proposes a move into a retirement village with good meals and regular entertainment. There he meets Buddy Green, who lives at the home and shows him around, and who was Al's first client. In 1967 Al booked Buddy a spot on The Ed Sullivan Show; Buddy never turned up, gave up comedy, and instead raised a family and became a podiatrist. He still makes the residents laugh. Restless among people his own age, Al digs out his old rolodex, phones his contacts, and pushes Buddy to let him manage him once more.
