Plot summary
The Boov, a cowardly alien race led by Captain Smek, invade Earth, deem the humans simple and backwards, move them to the Australian Outback and settle into their homes. Oh, an accident-prone Boov who is trying to fit in, invites the other Boov to a housewarming party and nobody comes. Tip, a twelve-year-old who avoided capture, is trying to learn where the humans were taken and to reach her mother, Lucy. When Oh visits Kyle, a traffic officer and Smek's lieutenant, he accidentally sends his party invitation to alien races across the galaxy, the Boov's longtime enemy the Gorg among them. Oh is declared a fugitive. He hides in a convenience store, where Tip has come for supplies; she lets him out of the freezer to fix her car, and he promises to help her find Lucy.
