Plot summary
A group of Ukrainian mobsters takes a device called the Handle from a secret military site in Kyiv, and it is said to be worth billions. The British government brings in Nathan Jasmine, who gathers MI6 agent Orson Fortune, CIA programmer and hacker Sarah Fidel, and marksman JJ Davies to recover it before Greg Simmonds, a billionaire arms dealer, can sell it on. In Madrid the team looks for the courier carrying the hard drive that holds the data from the Handle, work interrupted by Mike, a rival of Nathan's with the same assignment. Sarah copies the drive first. Learning that Simmonds will hold a charity gala in Cannes, the group blackmails Danny Francesco, the movie star Simmonds admires most, into helping them distract him. Sarah accompanies Danny as Michaela, and Orson passes himself off as Danny's manager.
