Plot summary
George Norton is a gofer for Charley Barker, a Chicago crime boss, and he is in good standing until a courier named Archie is killed at a barbecue. Half a million dollars was sewn into each side of the blue suit chosen for Archie's burial, and George had picked that suit himself without knowing what it was meant to carry. Barker sends him to open the grave and bring the cash back. The coffin does not hold what Barker expects, and Barker already suspects George of the theft. George has to find the body, the money and whoever is really responsible before the mob settles on him.
