Plot summary
Jonquil, a hired killer working for the wealthy Briton Mr. Casimir, waits in Marrakesh for a courier due in from Casablanca. The courier carries $2 million meant to pay for a fixed United Nations vote, and is to collect secret documents in return. Casimir does not know which of the six passengers on the airport bus is his man, and background checks show that some of them are not who they say they are. American businessman Andrew Jessel, journalist Kyra Stanovy, plumbing salesman Arthur Fairbrother and travel agency executive George Lillywhite all come under suspicion. Casimir's mistress Samia Voss helps watch the new arrivals. A mix-up over hotel rooms leaves Jessel and Kyra with a body in her closet, and he agrees to help her get rid of it.
