Plot summary
In London, Scotland Yard's Commissioner Sir Charles Braithwaite is working an organized crime case: a gang has been carrying out robberies across Europe. The Prime Minister decides to ask for outside help, and the press treats the request as an insult. The French Inspector Jacques Clouseau is sent to assist. Sir Charles briefs him on the case, and on the three suspects who were taken into custody, two of whom, Frenchie LeBec and Steven Frey, have broken out, leaving Addison Steele the only one still held. Sir Charles also warns Clouseau to trust nobody, even inside the Yard, because he suspects a mole among its ranks.
