Danny Warren has opened a new nightclub, which his millionaire father, Daniel Warren Sr., does not approve of and would rather see him leave for the family business. Into the club comes Carol Lawrence, a singer with no bookings. The staff take her for someone serving court papers and throw her out. She then ends up in the office of the elder Warren, who hires her to hand those papers to Danny himself. Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Swing Parade of 1946 (1946)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Curly Howard, 42, had suffered a series of minor strokes several months before filming Swing Parade of 1946. He appears healthier and more animated in the film than in the Three Stooges' Columbia shorts, possibly because his supporting role was less strenuous than the shorts, where he was in virtually every scene.
- Future director Nicholas Ray worked uncredited on the screenplay of Swing Parade of 1946; it was his only collaboration with the Three Stooges.
- The Stooges reused material they had performed with Ted Healy at MGM: the plumbing sequence was adapted from A Plumbing We Will Go and several waiter gags were borrowed from Beer and Pretzels.
