Sarita Choudhury
Biography
Sarita Choudhury is a British actress known for work in film and television. She was born in Blackheath, London, and grew up in Jamaica and Italy, later attending Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, where she took economics and film and graduated in 1989. Her screen debut came in Mira Nair's romantic drama Mississippi Masala (1991), starring opposite Denzel Washington. She went on to appear in A Perfect Murder (1998), Spike Lee's She Hate Me (2004), Lady in the Water (2006), and The Green Knight (2021), and she took leading roles in Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996), For Real (2009), and Evil Eye (2020). On television, she played Mira Berenson in Homeland from 2011 to 2017, a role that brought a Screen Actors Guild ensemble nomination, then Kith Lyonne in Jessica Jones (2019) and Seema Patel in And Just Like That... from 2021. In 2024 she appeared in Fallout.
