Admission (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Portia Nathan is an admissions officer at Princeton University, where she coaches, consoles and criticizes applicants, and she and her colleague Corinne both want to succeed the retiring dean of admissions. A recruiting trip takes her to the Quest School, run by John Pressman, a classmate from her college years, who teaches there and is raising Nelson, his adopted son. John introduces her to Jeremiah, a gifted and unconventional child prodigy, and he believes Jeremiah may be the child Portia gave up for adoption in secret years earlier.
