Robin Gammell

Biography

Robin Gammell is a Canadian actor whose career has moved between the stage, film and television since he joined the Stratford Festival as a junior ensemble member, taking parts such as Ariel in The Tempest and Malcolm in Macbeth, a role he played again in a 1961 television Macbeth opposite Sean Connery. He went on to appear in films including Rituals (1977), Full Circle (1977), Murder by Phone (1982), The Star Chamber (1983) and Project X (1987), and in 1980 he was nominated for a Genie Award for best actor for Klondike Fever. On television he had recurring or starring roles in series such as Wiseguy, Street Legal, Amazing Grace and Judging Amy, and guest spots on Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Murder, She Wrote and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He has also played historical figures in docudramas, among them William J. Donovan in A Man Called Intrepid.
