Richard Tyson
Biography
Richard Tyson is an actor who was born in Mobile, Alabama and went to Hollywood to pursue acting. An early part on the television series Moonlighting helped launch his career, and he became best known for three film roles: Buddy Revell in Three O'Clock High (1987), Cullen Crisp in Kindergarten Cop (1990) and Perry in Two Moon Junction (1988). He headlined his own short-lived series, Hardball, in 1989, and later turned up in other shows such as CSI: New York. His movie credits range from There's Something About Mary (1998) and Kingpin (1996) to Black Hawk Down and Genghis Khan, and he has acted alongside performers including Ben Stiller, John Travolta and Orlando Bloom. Trained at Cornell University, where he earned a graduate degree in fine arts and taught acting, he also performs Shakespeare on stage. Later credits include The Visitation (2006) and Big Bad Wolf (2006), a horror film.
