Plot summary

Eternal life technology, which transfers a mind into a new body, is being developed by two companies, and the merger between them draws resistance that turns into kidnapping and murder. Bridget Pellegrini works as a researcher, and she finds a flaw in the partner firm that is building the prototype, a device meant to serve as a fountain of youth. She pulls her company out of the deal. The other side will not let the work go and moves to take it back. To sway a vote their way, they abduct her family. Her teenage daughter Miranda is left to act, with help from Corey, a military veteran who is suicidal, and Stephanie, a prostitute.
