Plot summary
Told across three chapters, the story traces vampire women of three generations whose lives are unsettled by the economy and the environment around them. The tales arrive as interlocking episodes. One, Love Immortal, sets a land speculator against a dying widow and mother who answers his offer with harassment. Another keeps a vampire mother fighting for her daughter's survival once tainted blood and a collapsed economy are in play. A third centers on a lonely economics professor.
