Martin Mull
Biography
Martin Mull was an American actor, musician, and painter who began in show business as a songwriter before becoming known as a musical comedian in the 1970s, releasing a self-titled debut album in 1972. He moved into acting as Garth Gimble on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (1976), then played twin talk show host Barth Gimble in the spin-offs Fernwood 2 Night (1977) and America 2 Night (1978). His feature film debut came in FM (1978), and he took supporting roles in Mr. Mom (1983), Clue (1985) as Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Jingle All the Way (1996), with a rare lead in Serial (1980). On television he played Leon Carp on Roseanne, Willard Kraft on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the voice of Vlad Plasmius on Danny Phantom, and a 2016 guest role on Veep earned him an Emmy nomination.
