Plot summary
On Christmas Eve, Richie Rich and his friends race real cars, and Cadbury guides them home for tea, where Richie meets his cousin Reggie Van Dough. Dressed as an elf beside Cadbury's Santa, Richie delivers presents to an orphanage by sleigh, and the sleigh crashes and burns with all the gifts. Blamed for the disaster, Richie sits at Professor Keenbean's wishing machine, which works only on Christmas Eve, and wishes that he had never been born. The machine grants the wish and sends him to a world where no one knows him, not even his friends, and where Reggie has taken over as the Riches' son. Undoing the wish means finding Keenbean and the machine.
