Michael Winslow
Biography
Michael Winslow is an American actor, comedian, and beatboxer whose ability to make realistic sounds with his voice earned him the billing The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects. Born in Spokane, Washington, and raised near the city at Fairchild Air Force Base, he attended the Lisa Maile School. After performing in nightclubs and theaters, he made his first television appearance on The Gong Show and was later cast to play Larvell Jones across the Police Academy series, a role he played in all seven films, including Police Academy (1984). He appeared as a radar operator in Spaceballs (1987), played Spencer on The Love Boat, performed sound effects for the animated short Fleetwood Mac & Cheese, hosted Way Back Wednesday with Winslow, and has also performed stand-up comedy.
