Plot summary
Paula Carson is a high school student whose father, District Attorney Bill Carson, leaves on a hunting trip after telling her to keep up her homework and not cut class. Her boyfriend Dwight Ingalls plays basketball and wants an evening alone with her. Brian Woods, a classmate just out of a mental hospital after his father's death, also seeks her out, and Dwight warns her away from him. Then an art teacher is killed at the school, and students start dying too. Suspicion settles on both young men, and no one can say whether Brian has returned to old habits or Dwight sees a rival worth removing.
