Laura Harring
Biography
Laura Harring is a Mexican and American actress who was born in Los Mochis, Mexico, and spent her early years in Sinaloa before her family moved to Texas. After winning Miss USA 1985, she began acting in 1987 with the NBC movie The Alamo: 13 Days to Glory and made her film debut two years later. She was the lead in The Forbidden Dance (1990) and played Carla Greco on General Hospital from 1990 to 1991 and Paula Stevens on Sunset Beach in 1997. She is best known for David Lynch's Mulholland Drive (2001), playing Rita and Camilla, a performance that won her an ALMA Award. She also worked again with Lynch on Rabbits (2002). Her other films include John Q (2002), Willard (2003), The Punisher (2004), The King (2005), Nancy Drew (2007), Love in the Time of Cholera (2007), Drool (2009), and Inside (2016), and she appeared as Rebecca Doyle on The Shield in 2006.
