Plot summary
In suburban Chicago, Sarah Clark is in the third trimester of her pregnancy when a car accident kills her husband and leaves her partially deaf. She is alone at home on Christmas Eve, her baby due the next day; her neighbor Isaac stops by with a gift, and her mother is traveling to stay with her that night. After Sarah falls asleep, a woman knocks and says her car has broken down. Sarah calls back through the door that her husband is asleep, and the stranger answers that her husband is dead, using her name. Police find no one outside. Sarah phones Isaac, gets no answer, and leaves him a message.
