Plot summary
Behrouz spent his childhood as a soldier in Iran in the 1980s, and those memories have followed him since. He has settled in Los Angeles, where he is training to work as a real estate agent and wants an ordinary life with his girlfriend Oksana. His opium addiction and his gambling habit make that hope difficult to hold. So does his past with the Iranian mafia, which he has tried to leave behind. As his plan for a normal life grows harder to keep, he and Oksana are caught between the leaders of the Iranian and Russian mobs, two groups already at odds.
