James Millican
Biography
James Millican was an American actor who made more than 200 film appearances, the great majority of them in western movies. He was born in 1910 in The Palisades and went from the University of Southern California straight into Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's dramatic school, where he trained as an actor. A lasting professional tie to the cowboy star Wild Bill Elliott formed another strand of his career: Millican was an associate of Elliott's, and when Elliott made personal appearances at rodeos, Millican staged them on his behalf. Westerns accounted for most of his output, and it was in that genre that the bulk of his more than 200 screen credits were found. He died in 1955.
