Plot summary
Johnny McBride is hitchhiking and takes a lift from a truck driver when a tire blows and the car leaves the road in flames. He survives badly burned and with complete amnesia, and the fire takes the prints off his fingers. Two years on, an acquaintance tells him that a picture of him is on display at a studio in Lyncastle, so he goes to the town hoping to recover something of his past. There he learns the town counts him a suspect in a murder, and he sets out to clear his name while thugs who answer to the local mob boss move against him.
