Damon Herriman
Biography
Damon Herriman is an Australian actor who began acting as a child, winning the part of Frank Errol in The Sullivans when he was ten and earning three Logie Award nominations for it. Born in Adelaide, he returned to film work as Mark Jorgensen in the cult comedy The Big Steal (1990), and his breakthrough came as the redneck Dewey Crowe on Justified. A part in the short film Fuel was his first taste of playing creepy, inbred characters, which led to Lester in House of Wax (2005). His other films include 100 Bloody Acres (2012), The Lone Ranger (2013) and The Little Death (2014). He portrayed Charles Manson on Mindhunter and in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, won an AACTA Award for Judy & Punch (2019), was nominated for The Nightingale (2018) and won another AACTA for Riot (2018).

Herriman wrote the play Soar and took it to the theater group Tamarama Rock Surfers, where it caught the attention of Joel and Nash Edgerton.
First role
Herriman played a creepy, inbred character for the first time in Fuel, a 2003 short by Nash Edgerton's Blue-Tongue Films, and that part got him cast as Lester, the roadkill truck driver in the 2005 horror film House of Wax.
A change of course
Herriman won the green card lottery in 1999 and moved to Los Angeles in 2000, but returned to Sydney ten weeks later after having no luck.
