Biography

Eddie Baroo is an Australian actor, screenwriter and musician who took up acting at 30 after working in construction and accounting. Born in Geelong, he began as an extra until a director on the ABC series Something in the Air urged him to audition, backed by fellow cast members Eric Bana and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor. Guest parts in Blue Heelers and Stingers followed, then a motorcycle gang member opposite Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider (2007) and Bull in Baz Luhrmann's Australia (2008). He played Willy in Red Hill (2010) and Uncle Ed in Summer Coda (2010), and wrote as well as acted in Crawlspace (2012) and Sweet River (2020). Other credits include Son of a Gun (2014), Sucker (2015), Spin Out (2016), The Dry (2020) and Lone Wolf (2021), plus recurring television roles in Mystery Road and Mr Inbetween. He fronts the band Stodgewood.
