Plot summary
Shao Kahn kills King Jerrod and takes over Edenia for Outworld, taking Queen Sindel as his consort and Princess Kitana as his daughter. Twenty years later the tenth Mortal Kombat tournament is near, and Quan Chi revives Kung Lao and Kano on Shao Kahn's orders. In Earthrealm, Lord Raiden and Sonya Blade bring in the washed-up actor Johnny Cage as their fifth champion, together with Sonya, Liu Kang, Jax Briggs and Cole Young, but Johnny refuses to take part.
