Biography

Cathy Weseluck is a Canadian voice actress who works frequently with Ocean Productions in Vancouver and is known for voicing Near in Death Note, Cybersix, and Spike in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Born in Toronto, she worked as an associate producer at CBC Radio before a host there encouraged her to try voice acting, and her first voice work was for the Vancouver Centre Mall. She has since lent her voice to many cartoons and anime, including Mirai Yashima in Mobile Suit Gundam, the Gundam Wing roles of Dorothy Catalonia and Catherine Bloom, Shampoo in Ranma 1/2, Kagome's mother in Inuyasha, Verne in U.B.O.S., Misa Takatsuki in Project ARMS, and voices in Dragon Ball Z, among them Kid Trunks, Chiaotzu and Puar. She also works as a voice director and instructor, with credits such as My Little Pony Tales and Billy the Cat.
