Plot summary
Asgard's young prince Thor, the son of Odin, is not yet thought worthy of the hammer Mjolnir. Hungry to prove himself a warrior, he sets out in secret with the Warriors Three, the companions Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg, boastful travelers wary of any adventure that might truly be dangerous. His half-brother Loki joins them, and Loki's early sorcery supplies just enough magic to make trouble. The band hunts a sword of legend, a search that carries them into the realm of Jotunheim and risks reviving a war that had long lain dormant between Asgard and Jotunheim.
