Plot summary
At the North Pole, Rudolph is born with a nose that glows red, and his parents, Blitzen and Mitzi, introduce him to his uncles, Dasher, Comet and Cupid. When Cupid tickles him, the nose lights up and the mockery starts. The elves Doggle and Boone, carrying Santa Claus's mail, damage ice statues on the bridge of Stormella, the Ice Queen, who demands the elves be handed over. Santa refuses, so she shuts the bridge and warns that anyone crossing it will bring a blizzard strong enough to stop his Christmas Eve deliveries. A year on, Rudolph starts school, where his cousin Arrow and the other young reindeer ridicule his wish to join the Flyers. Only his teacher, Mrs. Prancer, and a doe named Zoey are kind, and Santa Claus tells him a Flyer needs a true heart.
