Barbie: Princess Charm School (2011) on Netflix

Plot summary

In the kingdom of Gardania, teenage Blair Willows supports her adoptive mother and her younger sister, Emily, by working at a café. A televised broadcast announces that she has won a lottery scholarship to Princess Charm School, where girls from other kingdoms learn to become princesses or royal ladies, and Emily admits she entered Blair's name many times. At the school a golden retriever named Prince greets her, and Headmistress Alexandra Privet explains that each student is assigned a fairy assistant. Blair's fairy, Grace, takes her to a dorm shared with Princess Isla, who makes electronic music, and Princess Hadley, an athlete. Blair is clumsy in class, and Dame Devin and her daughter Delancy, who is to be crowned ruler of Gardania at the graduation ceremony, treat her with hostility and try to sabotage her.
