Biography

Aaron Poole is an actor who trained at George Brown Theatre School in the Strasberg and Meisner techniques. His performance as Johnny, the hustler at the center of Ed Gass-Donnelly's This Beautiful City, brought him notice; the film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2008, and his portrayal of a recovering addict drew rave reviews, and a nomination as Best Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards, a category he shared with Paul Gross and Christopher Plummer. He also won a Best Actor ACTRA Award that year. In the years since, he has taken leading and recurring parts in film and television, among them Robert Cobb Kennedy in BBC America's Copper and a role in Christopher MacBride's The Conspiracy (2012), along with a supporting part in the western Forsaken (2015) and a starring turn in Ingrid Veninger's The Animal Project, a TIFF selection in 2013.
