Plot summary
Foley walks out of prison after serving a long sentence for the death of his best friend, a partner in his grifting schemes. He tells Ethan, his dead partner's son, that he wants no part of the old life. Ethan brings him to Xavier's nightclub and lays out a con, and Foley turns it down. Xavier has caught someone stealing from him and leaves it to Ethan to recover the money. A plan of Ethan's then puts Foley in the path of Iris, a young addict who is being harassed in a bar. Foley steps in, and the two begin a relationship. Iris tells him she owes Ethan money.
