Plot summary
David Bowie's third album is out, and in 1971 he takes his first trip to America to promote it, traveling from city to city on a publicity tour. His relationships with his wife Angie and with his half-brother Terry Burns are troubled. The stage persona he works out along the way, drawn from artists such as Iggy Pop and Lou Reed, is the start of Ziggy Stardust.
