Plot summary
In 2027, illegal androids are common and criminals have themselves fitted with cybernetic parts. Alex Rain works as an assassin and bounty hunter for the LAPD. The Red Army Hammerheads nearly kill him, and months of cybernetic reconstruction leave him part machine. He quits and works as a freelance hustler until Farnsworth, his former superior, has him seized for one last assignment. Farnsworth says Jared, Alex's former partner and lover, an android, has taken security data concerning a summit between the United States and Japan and intends to hand it to the Hammerheads and their leader, Angie-Liv. A bomb placed in Alex's heart during his repairs leaves him three days to find her. He is flown to Shang-Loo on Java and turned loose as bait.

- Albert Pyun pitched his ideas to the three Shah brothers, who agreed to make the film on one condition: the lead be changed from a 13-year-old girl to a 30-year-old man, to use their recent discovery, French kickboxer Olivier Gruner.
- After working with Megan Ward on Arcade, Albert Pyun met Ward and her agents to discuss casting her as the lead and shot test scenes with her; Ward was favorable despite reservations about the violence and a scene calling for her character to be completely nude.
- Nemesis 3: Prey Harder, one of four sequels, was made using footage left over from the production of Nemesis 2: Nebula.
