Plot summary
The military fields a new weapon in a big city: Eve VIII, an android who looks and sounds exactly like the scientist who made her, Dr. Eve Simmons. She carries a nuclear bomb and is programmed to kill anyone who tries to stop her mission. A bank robbery leaves her damaged, and since she is built to protect herself, trouble brings out her super strength. Colonel Jim McQuade is given the job of eliminating her, and Dr. Simmons, who knows how the android was designed, joins him. Together they try to work out where the machine will go next and how to outthink an android that is intelligent and emotional.
